The game's main objective is to collect “plorts,” a farmable resource compiled from the game's main cattle: “slimes” a gelatinous creatures that come in many shapes and sizes. Players assume the roll of Beatrix LeBeau, a rancher who moves to the planet known as the “Far Far Range.” The player is allowed to farm and explore the open world at their own pace.
